Peter Chuang

Peter joined Detring Energy Advisors in July 2026 as an Associate. Prior to joining Detring, Peter worked as a Production and Reservoir Engineer at Birch Resources and Surge Energy, focused on the Midland Basin.
He began his career as an A&D Engineering Analyst at Rosetta Resources, where he supported acquisitions in the Eagle Ford and Delaware Basin as well as the company’s sale to Noble Energy.
Peter holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
