Matthew McClaugherty

Matthew joined Detring Energy Advisors in October 2024 as an Engineering Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Matthew worked a wide array of engineering roles throughout the industry, including investment banking, 3rd party consulting, and multidisciplinary responsibilities within E&P’s, including asset engineering, business development, reserves, and planning. Matthew began his career as an engineering technician within the industry, which greatly influenced his pursuit of a Petroleum Engineering degree and career.
Matthew holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering (2012) from Texas A&M University.
