Salman Khan

Salman Khan is an Associate at Detring Energy Advisors, where he supports clients through technical evaluations, economic modeling, and strategic advisory across upstream oil and gas transactions. With over six years of reservoir engineering experience, he brings a strong foundation in reserves analysis, production forecasting, and A&D due diligence.

Before joining Detring, Salman served as Reservoir Engineering Manager at Schaper Energy Consulting, where he led multidisciplinary teams on reserve reports and buyside advisory projects for private equity and investment firms. He began his career in the field with Gyrodata, supporting Permian Basin drilling operations, and previously interned at Shell, gaining offshore exposure in drilling and production.

Salman graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
